My Story

I believe that DEI is more than just policy—it’s about action, engagement, and culture. My work focuses on helping organizations move beyond checkboxes to create spaces where inclusion is woven into daily practice. Whether through leadership training, executive coaching, or curriculum development, I help institutions bridge the gap between intention and impact.

In addition to consulting, I serve as the Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), where I lead university-wide faculty development and DEI initiatives. I’ve also had the privilege of designing and launching DEI-focused training programs, interdisciplinary projects, and arts-based initiatives that foster inclusive dialogue.

My expertise spans higher education, corporate consulting, and applied theatre. I’ve worked with Sheetz, Virginia Public Media, the Smithsonian Institution, the University of Pittsburgh, and Saint Vincent Hospital, among many others. Through customized DEI training programs, I help leaders navigate complex conversations, implement equity-driven strategies, and build workplaces where all voices are heard.

My academic and professional journey has always centered on the power of storytelling, education, and advocacy. With graduate degrees from the University of Pittsburgh in Theatre & Performance, I specialize in using applied theatre techniques to train professionals in healthcare, education, and leadership. My work in simulation performance prepares medical students to develop empathetic communication skills through role-playing exercises with trained actors.

Beyond my consulting and academic work, I’ve served in leadership roles such as President of Pedagogy and Theatre of the Oppressed, Inc. and a board member of the Smithsonian Latino Center. I also chair IUP’s Difficult Dialogues Initiative, fostering critical conversations on race, identity, and equity.
